Yiddish is alive and kicking among Hasidim. Everyone’s Yiddish can be enriched by reading or listening to stories, debates, or poetry in the Hasidic Yiddish of today. In this Yiddish-language lecture, Justin (Yankev) Jaron Lewis provides examples of Yiddish-language Hasidic creativity in internet forums, podcasts, and in print, including Der Veker, a Hasidic journal in which Prof. Lewis has published articles.

Recorded live on Zoom from Winnipeg and Toronto, Sunday, June 6, 2021 | 2:00 pm ET
